Sequences in Approvals
A sequence in an approval chain consists of user groups and users.
Rules
The following rules are associated with sequences.
- Between Sequence: The approval process between sequences is always ordered. After approvers in one sequence complete approvals, the approval process moves to the next sequence. There can be any number of sequences.
- In a Sequence: The approval process in a sequence is always parallel. All approvers in a sequence receive the approval task at the same time. There can be any number of individuals and user groups in a sequence. When one approver rejects and the other approves, the approval process is stopped.
- Same Approver in sequences: An approver cannot be associated with more than one sequence as an individual.
- Restarting approvals: You can restart approvals from any sequence. If the approval process restarts from Sequence 2, all approvers in Sequence 2 receive the approval task at the same time. After approvers in Sequence 2 complete the approval, the approval process moves to the next sequence.
