Inserting Cross-references
You can insert bookmarks and cross-references in the contract language by using the Word features.
Use the Word Help for more details about inserting cross-references.
Consider the following
points when you use bookmarks and cross-references in the
contract language.
- Improper use of cross-referencing can corrupt the contract language document.
- The clause template document can become corrupted if you delete bookmarks or links.
- Ensure that the brackets [ ] are added around the bookmark name in the clause template.
- Do not use the following keywords in the bookmark name:
- Author
- Company
- Title
- Any term definition name that is defined in Emptoris® Contract Management.
- The cross-references are automatically updated when the contract language is opened in the Word editor. If the cross-references are not automatically updated, you must update them when you edit the contract language.
Tip: Use a naming convention for the bookmarks so
that you can quickly identify the correct bookmark
when you insert a cross-reference.
