Security Lists

Security lists are lists of users, user groups, permissions, and permission groups. At least one security list is applied to restrict the access to features, object classes, and object instances.

Components of security lists

A security list consists of the following components.

List of users and user groups
Permissions and permission groups
Organization restrictions for group members
Note: Organization restrictions do not apply to individual users or contract folders.

Members

Only active users, user groups, and permission groups are available for security lists. Active users may also include users with disabled accounts. Users with disabled accounts may have the permissions but cannot access the features or activities because their accounts are disabled.

Users, user groups, and permissions that become inactive after they are included in security lists cannot access the features or activities.
