After the Search servers are successfully installed and configured by using the Emptoris® Strategic Supply Management Installer, separate
services for Solr and ZooKeeper instances are created.
About this task
The Solr services are named solr1, solr2, and so on based on the instance number, and the
ZooKeeper services are named zookeeper-1, zookeeper-2 based on the instance number.
Procedure
To start or stop the Services for the Search servers, complete the following
steps:
- On Windows, start the services from the Windows Services Management Console, or use the
following commands.
sc start solr[X]
sc stop solr[X]
sc start zookeeper-[X]
sc stop zookeeper-[X]
[X] is the number of the Solr or ZooKeeper instance. The ZooKeeper service is automatically
started when you start the Solr service.
- On Linux, use the following commands.
service solr[X] start
service solr[X] stop
service zookeeper-[X] start
service zookeeper-[X] stop
[X] is the number of the Solr or ZooKeeper instance. The ZooKeeper service is automatically
started when you start the Solr service.
Note: For search services to be available, a majority of the ZooKeeper services must be
running.
