Enabling configuration management for the Engineering Lifecycle Management instance
This is an optional configuration for the Engineering Lifecycle Management instance creation.
In Engineering Lifecycle Management on Hybrid Cloud, Engineering Workflow Management, IBM® Engineering Test Management, and DOORS® Next applications
support configuration management capabilities. For IBM Engineering Test Management and DOORS Next applications, an activation key must be provided in the Engineering Lifecycle Management instance secret to enable configuration management. For Engineering Workflow Management,
no additional enablement steps are needed.

You must understand the impact of enabling configuration management before you enable
configuration management capabilities for the Engineering Lifecycle Management applications. For more

Important:
- When configuration management is enabled, the Engineering Lifecycle Management operator also enables the systems global configuration sample in Jazz® Team Server. For more information, see Systems Global Configuration sample.
- For an existing Engineering Lifecycle Management instance, you cannot enable configuration management by applying the activation key in Engineering Lifecycle Management instance secret. But you can manually enable configuration management in IBM Engineering Test Management and DOORS Next applications. For more information, see Activating configuration management in applications.
