New features and enhancements added in interim fixes

Interim fixes include new features and enhancements to applications within IBM® Engineering Lifecycle Management suite. The following list shows the first interim fix that provides support for a feature. Interim fixes are cumulative features provided in a particular interim fix and are included in all subsequent interim fixes.

Introduced in interim fix 6

IBM Engineering Workflow Management
  • IBM Engineering Workflow Management now has integrated the work item synopsis agent.
    Tip: Engineering Lifecycle Management 7.1.0 interim fix 6 now supports IBM Engineering AI Hub 1.0 and is a prerequisite for the work item synopsis agent feature.
  • IBM Engineering Workflow Management 7.1.0 interim fix 6 provides support for Java 21 on Eclipse 4.36. You can use the available p2 repository from the IBM Engineering Workflow Management downloads page for installation.
Jazz® Reporting Service

  • Added a method to perform the migration of Lifecycle Query Engine historical metrics data from Jena to LQE rs for administrators.

  • Improved LQE rs with Query Gen Flags on Oracle.

Interim fix 5

IBM Engineering Workflow Management 7.1.0 interim fix 5 and future interim fixes now support integration with GitLab 18.2.
Git 2.50.1
IBM Engineering Workflow Management now supports integration with Git 2.50.1.

Java™ 17

IBM Semeru Runtime Certified Edition 17 (OpenJDK) is now included with IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management applications. Engineering Lifecycle Management 7.1.0 SR1 interim fix 4 uses Java 17.0.13 as new prerequisite level of runtime JRE.

IBM WebSphere® Liberty 25.0.0.3

Engineering Lifecycle Management now upgraded the stand-alone IBM WebSphere Liberty and the embedded IBM WebSphere Liberty.

Before you upgrade to Engineering Lifecycle Management 7.1.0 SR1 interim fix 4, see Configuring Engineering Lifecycle Management on a stand-alone WebSphere Liberty server for the stand-alone Liberty configurations. If you've an embedded Liberty, there are no configuration changes.

Log4j 2.24.3
From Engineering Lifecycle Management 7.1.0 SR1 interim fix 4, the applications updated logging solution from Log4j 2 to Log4j 2.24.3.
IES 4.23
IES 4.23 is now part of Engineering Lifecycle Management 7.1.0 SR1 interim fix 4.
