Updating a user profile
A user profile is a user account definition that contains authentication credentials and the set of resources that the user is authorized to use and view. To update a user profile, you must have the appropriate permissions.
About this task
B2B Advanced Communications includes two default administrator accounts (System administrator and Master Account administrator accounts) that have permission to update objects such as user profiles and access all system functions. The system also provides the following default groups. Each group references a user category, which has a related set of default permissions and operations, and views that the user can access. A user can be a member of more than one group.
The System Administrator account has different permissions from the Master Account Administrator account. Therefore, the user profiles created by the System Administrator have different permissions than those profiles created by the Master Account administrator.

Procedure
- Log in to B2B Advanced Communications with the system administrator or Master Account administrator access credentials.
- Select System Management > User Profiles.
- In the User Profiles page, select the user profile.
- In the detailed view page for the user profile, click Edit in the section requiring modification.
- Update the necessary information and click Save to save the user profile object and return to the User Profiles collection page.
