Updating a RESTful HTTP or HTTPS exchange profile

You can update a RESTful HTTP or HTTPS exchange profile to meet your current business requirements. Use Exchange Profiles to update the configuration of a RESTful HTTP or HTTPS exchange profile.

About this task

An exchange profile can be edited to redefine the participating organizations (owner organization and trading partner), receivers, destinations, and connections and security settings. A RESTful HTTP or HTTPS exchange profile requires details of the participating organizations, exchange pattern, credential information that is required to authenticate each party with the other, and the messaging destination.

To enable public-key cryptography and further secure the communications of a RESTful HTTP or HTTPS exchange profile, you can associate a public key with user credentials.

Procedure

To update a RESTful HTTP or HTTPS exchange profile:

  1. Log in to B2B Advanced Communications as a user with the permissions to administer a RESTful HTTP or HTTPS exchange profile.
  2. Click Exchanges > Exchange Profiles.
  3. On the Exchange Profiles page, click the name of the RESTful HTTP or HTTPS exchange profile that you want to update.
  4. Make the necessary updates, and click Redeploy to redeploy the exchange.
Tip: When you update an already deployed exchange profile, the percentage complete displays 80%, but the status displays Deployed. For the updates to take effect and the percentage complete to display 100%, ensure that you redeploy the exchange profile.
