Installing a CP4BA multi-pattern production deployment

You can install multiple patterns and capabilities by using the Cloud Pak for Business Automation operator. You can use the deployment scripts or the Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform (OCP) and the Managed Red Hat OpenShift Kubernetes Service (ROKS) user interface.

Before you begin

Before you install any Cloud Pak for Business Automation capability, it is important to understand what you need, what options you have, the entitlement of your license, and how you can measure the usage of your deployments.

If you plan to use the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) to store usernames and passwords for your intended deployment, then make sure that the directory can connect to your OpenShift cluster. For more information, see LDAP configuration.

For operational and performance reasons, it is important that network latency between the applications and the LDAP server is as small as possible.
