You set access to the application in Business Automation
Studio. This access enables users to work with the
application in Business Automation
Studio.
About this task
If you want other users to be able to view or edit your application, you can add them to
the application in Business Automation
Studio.Security for your application after it is deployed depends on membership in groups that are
created in the Business Teams Service
server as part of the deployment process. You use the Business Teams Service server to add users to
the appropriate group so that they can access and use your application. For more information, see
Granting runtime users access to your application.
Procedure
To add user access for your application:
- In Business Automation
Studio, click the
Business applications tile.
- In the Business applications list, click the tile for your new
application.
Clicking the
Open link opens your application in
Application Designer, but for this operation, you access
the application information view by clicking directly on the tile.
Information about the
application displays. The Versions tab provides a history for the versions
that are created for the application. The Collaborators tab provides access
management settings for the application.
- On the Collaborators tab, click Add
collaborator.
- In the Add users dialog, type the name of the user that you want to
add.
The available choices reflect the users that are configured by your administrator in
Business Teams Service.
- Select the name of the user that you want, and click Add
users.
- In the User list you can set the permission you want:
- Admin - full access
- Edit - export, publish, preview, edit, and delete
- Read - export and preview
Any user who wants to edit the application must have edit access for the application and read
access to the UI toolkit that are used in the application templates.
