Shared configuration parameters

Some configuration parameters can be shared by an installation of multiple automation containers.

Custom external database configuration
Java™ Database Connectivity (JDBC) is an application programming interface (API), which defines how a client accesses a database. A driver enables a Java application to interact with the database.
Identity provider configuration
If you want to manage users with an OIDC/OAuth identity provider, the operator can set up the necessary configuration elements. You specify the details of your identity provider in the custom resource YAML.
LDAP configuration
A server that runs the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) can be configured by more than one component on Kubernetes.
Pattern configuration
You can install software of the Cloud Pak for evaluation and production purposes by using Digital Business Automation (DBA) patterns. A pattern includes all the components that are needed to accomplish a specific set of cross-component functional tasks. The scripts and custom resource templates that are provided for the patterns reduce the number of steps you need to do to prepare your environment.
Shared configuration
You must set the parameters in the custom resource file to access the Docker images in your environment.
