You can import business applications (applications), templates,
toolkits, or workflow automations that another user has shared with
you by exporting the file.
Before you begin
Before you import projects, ensure you have access to the repository.Important: Import the dependent toolkits before you import the process application or toolkit. To preserve the
toolkit versioning order, import them in the correct order. The last imported toolkit is the tip in
the new IBM Business
Automation Studio.
Procedure
- Select Business applications or Business
automations.
- Click Import.
- Click Browse to locate and select
the file that you want to import.
When the import
is complete, the imported project is included in the list of
Business
applications,
Templates,
Toolkits or .
Important: When you import a project from
an on-premises
Process Designer,
you might see errors, which means that you must modify dependent toolkit
versions or artifacts to enable your project to be installed and run
in this environment. For information about resolving these errors,
see
Converting project
artifacts.
Alternatively, you can import projects by using the Operations REST API. For
more information about the Operations REST API, see
IBM Business Automation Workflow Operations REST APIs.
Remember: If you are importing workflows by using the Operations REST API, you must invoke the Operations
REST API from the IBM Workflow Server, which is the
domain and port you see in the browser URL when you open a workflow in Workflow Designer.
What to do next
The user who imports a project has administrative access
to that project. Administrators can grant access to other users and
groups as described in Managing
access to the repository.
