Installing IBM Business Automation Studio

New in 19.0.2  You use the Helm chart in the GitHub repository to deploy an IBM Business Automation Studio environment for authoring and managing apps for IBM Cloud Pak for Automation.

This Helm chart deploys Business Automation Studio, IBM Business Automation Application Engine (App Engine), and IBM Resource Registry to give you a full Business Automation Studio environment for authoring, testing, and managing apps.

Before you begin

You must prepare your environment before you install Business Automation Studio. To follow the default path, use the helper script that is provided with the Helm chart in Github. If you prefer to use your own YAML file to set up your environment, follow the instructions in Preparing to install IBM Business Automation Studio.

If you want to use multiple active replicas for App Engine, you must configure Remote Dictionary Server (Redis). See the instructions for Configuring App Engine with Redis before you install.

About this task

To install Business Automation Studio, perform the actions that are described in the README file in the BAS folder of the Certified Kubernetes Support for IBM Cloud Pak for Automation GitHub repository.

For a production environment, you can install the App Engine Helm chart instead.
