Installing IBM Business Automation Application Engine (App Engine)

New in 19.0.2  You use the Helm chart in the GitHub repository to deploy an IBM Business Automation Application Engine (App Engine) environment for running the applications that are built in IBM Business Automation Studio. This deployment is for a production environment only. For authoring, testing, and managing IBM Business Automation Studio, install the IBM Business Automation Studio Helm chart.

Before you begin

You must prepare your production environment before you install App Engine. To follow the default path, use the helper script that is provided with the Helm chart in Github. If you prefer to use your own YAML file to set up your production environment, follow the instructions in Preparing to install IBM Business Automation Application Engine (App Engine).

If you want to use multiple active replicas for App Engine, you must configure Remote Dictionary Server (Redis). See the instructions for Configuring App Engine with Redis before you install.

About this task

To install App Engine, perform the actions that are described in the README file in the AAE folder of the Certified Kubernetes Support for IBM Cloud Pak for Automation GitHub repository.
