Managing library inventories

In this context, there are two different types of library inventories:

  • The inventory of the physical library
  • The inventory that TSLM maintains

If the real library inventory of the hardware has changed (for example, by manual intervention), the internal library inventory is audited by the library automatically. However, whenever changes are made to the physical library inventory (such as inserting new cartridges), there is no automatic update of the TSLM inventory. You must initiate a manual audit to get the new real library inventory into the TSLM inventory.

Attention: If the real library inventory of the hardware has changed, the TSLM inventory must be audited manually by operator intervention using the CLI audit command.
