Batch processing data with WebSphere Modern Batch

You can use the WebSphere® Modern Batch feature to set up batch processing to add data to the IBM® Counter Fraud Management system.

About this task

For example, you might need to schedule daily, weekly, or monthly recurring jobs for:
  • Nightly data import runs
  • Regular recompilations of reference facts (CFREFFACT)
  • Regular feeds to populate data marts (CFREPORTING)
  • Regular scans of data to perform entity matching
  • Medical Provider Fraud analysis (optional component)

You can submit jobs manually or you can schedule the batch jobs to run automatically. You can use the default configuration or supply a custom configuration.

    All Counter Fraud batch jobs can optionally have a priority set. Batch jobs with a higher priority are processed before jobs with a lower priority.

  • Program Effectiveness data mart batch job parameters
    You can use the Program Effectiveness data mart to generate reports about investigations from within the IBM Counter Fraud Management system. You use the WebSphere Modern Batch feature to set up batch processing to add data to the Program Effectiveness data mart.
  • SPSS batch job parameters
    Schedule long running SPSS jobs that perform intensive calculations and analytics on data and store them into the IBM Counter Fraud Management system. You use the WebSphere Modern Batch feature to set up batch processing of SPSS jobs. An SPSS job contains SPSS streams, which in-turn contain SPSS models that find anomalies and patterns and perform intensive data calculations.
