Installing the primary plug-in

The ICFM Detection Toolkit includes an Eclipse plug-in for ODM Rule Designer.

Procedure

To install the primary plug-in:

  1. Start Rule Designer, select a workspace, and click OK. The recommended workspace path is C:\Users\icfmmgr\IBM\ODM\DS\workspace.
  2. If the Welcome to Eclipse panel is displayed, close it.
  3. Click Help > Install New Software.
  4. In the Available Software dialog box, click Add.
  5. In the Add Repository dialog box, enter a Name, such as CFM Dev Tools. For the Location field, enter https://host_name/dev_plugins/com.ibm.cf.dev.updateSite and click OK. host_name is the fully qualified host name of the Core server.
    Restriction: Do not use the IP address of the server. For example, enter my_server.example.com.
  6. Uncheck the Group items by Category option. The CFM Detection Tooling Feature is added to the list of available software.
  7. Select the CFM Detection Tooling Feature check box.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Review the installation summary, and click Next.
  10. Accept the license agreement, and click Finish.
  11. At the security warning prompt, click OK.
  12. At the prompt to restart Eclipse SDK, click Yes.
