Mapping reference values

You create value mappings as the second step in associating data between reference data sets. You map reference values to associate the reference values in one set with reference values in another set.

Before you begin

Create a mapping to associate two reference data sets.

Procedure

  1. Click the Mappings tab.
  2. Select an existing mapping set and click Edit.
  3. In the Value Mappings group box, click New. A new pane opens, where you create manual mappings between reference data values.
  4. In the Source Values column, select a source value.
  5. In the Target Values column, select the corresponding target value.
  6. Click Create Mapping.
  7. In the Create Value Mapping dialog, choose the custom properties for this mapping. The properties vary depending on the data type of the mapping.
  8. To create a mapping between the two values, click OK.
  9. Repeat this process until the wanted values are mapped.
  10. When finished, click Save.
