IBM HTTP Server software component
The IBM® HTTP Server software component provides a web server instance for use in clustered environments. This software component is used with the cluster-based WSRR virtual system patterns, and is available as a predefined component on IBM PureApplication®.
- Core OS
- The parameters for configuring the operating
system of the virtual machine are described in the following table.
Typically, only passwords need to be specified.
Table 1. Core OS parameters Parameter name Default value Description Name IBM HTTP Server The name by which you want to identify the IBM HTTP Server. The maximum number of characters is 64. Virtual CPUs 4 The number of virtual processors that are allocated for the virtual machine that is represented by this software component. Memory size (MB) 8192 The amount of memory that is allocated to this virtual machine, in megabytes. Password (root) The password for the root user ID. This is the password for the operating system of the virtual machine that this software component represents in the pattern. Specify the password in the first field and then verify your entry in the next field.
Password (virtuser) The password for the virtuser user ID of the operating system, which is the user name under which WebSphere® Service Registry and Repository is installed. Specify the password in the first field and then verify your entry in the next field.

Configuration data location /opt/IBM/WebSphere/Profiles The directory in which the server profile is created. WebSphere architecture The bit level of WebSphere Application Server and Java™. On 64-bit operating systems, you can select 32-bit or 64-bit. On 32-bit operating systems, 32-bit components are installed. WebSphere administrative user name The user name for the WebSphere administrative user. WebSphere administrative password The administrative user password. Federate node entries Cell name CloudBurstCell The cell name for the server profile. Node name CloudBurstNode The node name for the server profile. Profile name DefaultIHS01 The profile name for IBM HTTP Server. Deployment manager host name The fully qualified host name or IP address of the deployment manager. Deployment manager administrator user name The user name of the deployment manager administrator. Deployment manager password The password for the deployment manager administrator user name. Deployment manager connector port The JMX connector port of the deployment manager.
