Dashboard email templates

The Dashboard uses email templates to pre-fill fields in email messages sent from the dashboard to service owners or service consumers.

WSRR email templates are described in detail in Email templates.

The dashboard email templates are named EMailTemplate.EMail.Owner and EMailTemplate.EMail.Consumers. The templates contain the body and subject of the email that appears in the dashboard Email dialog. The subject is defined using a special insert in the email template. The messages used in these templates are in the EMailMessages configuration items, see Email properties configuration items. The email templates are always of type text/html, irrespective of the MIME type setting for email templates. Line breaks and other formatting in the templates should use HTML, because the content generated from the templates are used in the rich text editor in the Email dialog.

If you have upgraded to WSRR V8.5 and migrated an existing configuration profile, note that the two templates are not added to the profile, and must be added manually. The messages used in these templates must be manually added to the EMailMessages configuration items.
