Gatekeeper overview

The Gatekeeper is a Java application that lets administrators configure, monitor, and maintain the resources of one or more Connection Managers.

The Gatekeeper runs on IBM AIX, Microsoft Windows, and Linux operating systems.

You can configure the Gatekeeper to be used by a single administrator with a single point-of-control, or by multiple remote administrators with different views of wireless information technology (IT) resources. After an administrator logs in, the Gatekeeper dynamically displays only the resources that the administrator ID is authorized to access.

The communication between the Gatekeeper and the Connection Manager can be configured to use secure sockets layer (SSL).
