You can create a reference to an automated test script residing at a shared location. You
can use a Engineering Workflow Management repository as a shared resource location or directories on the
Engineering Test Management server. When you run the test script, Engineering Test Management makes
a copy of the test script and runs it on a local test machine.
Before you begin
Before you can reference a test script from a shared location, an administrator must make
the shared resources available.
Note: Each test tool implements its own integration with Engineering Test Management. The instructions provided here may not cover all of the details of each
integration. Be sure to refer to the specific test tool for further details.
Procedure
To create a reference to an automated test script that resides at a shared
location:

In the main menu, click .

Type a name for the new test script.
Tip: Be sure to use a name that is the same or similar to the name of the actual
test script.

Click Click here to enter a description to enter a description of the
new test script reference.

Select one of the available test script types.

In the Script Details section, select Use test resources from a shared
location and then click Browse.

Select a Test Plan if the resource has been added to a test plan or leave Test Plan unassigned.

Select a shared location from the list.

Select the test script from the list of files in the shared resource location.

Click OK.

For Functional Test scripts, supply the appropriate Script arguments.

Click Script arguments.

For Script Arguments, type any arguments that you want to pass to the functional test script
during execution.

For Execution Arguments, type any arguments that should go in the execution command line of the
script, such as - classpath.

For Datapool Iteration Count, type the number of iterations that the script should run if the
script is associated with a datapool.

Click Save.

For Functional Test scripts, click Source View to view the source code
of the test script.

To confirm that your test script is created, go to the main menu and click .
