New parameters

OMEGAMON AI for Db2 6.1.0 introduces new parameters that simplify configuration.

Near-Term History sequential data set allocation and configuration

New parameters for dynamic and GDG data set allocation are introduced with APAR OA68534. The following new parameters simplify sequential Near-Term History data set allocation and configuration and can be used instead of the existing KD2_PFnn_HIS_DYN_* and KD2_PFnn_HIS_GDG_* parameter sets:
Note: The KD2_PFxx_HIS_SEQ_* parameter set is not interchangeable with KD2_PFxx_HIS_DYN_* and KD2_PFxx_HIS_GDG_* sets. You can switch completely to SEQ parameters or continue using the existing DYN and GDG parameters.

This change only applies to the Monitoring Configuration Manager configuring method, and it is backward compatible. Current out-of-the-box setups are not affected.

Performance Warehouse (PWH) configuration simplification

New Performance Warehouse (PWH) parameters are introduced with APAR OA68534. The following new parameters can be used instead of the existing 18 parameters (KD2_DBnn_PWH_D2PW*) for PWH storage groups and buffer pools to simplify the configuration:

This change only applies to the Monitoring Configuration Manager configuring method and it is backward compatible.

Alternative parameter to specify OMEGAMON Db2 Collector started task

KD2_CLASSIC_STC
With APAR OA68534, the KD2_CLASSIC_STC parameter is introduced. The KD2_CLASSIC_STC parameter can be used as an alternative to GBL_DB2_KD2_CLASSIC_STC for specifying the name of the OMEGAMON Db2 Collector started task.
