IBM FileNet Content Manager integration
IBM FileNet Content Manager integration with IBM Business Automation Content Analyzer helps you for managing business documents.
IBM FileNet Content Manager working with Content Analyzer
IBM FileNet Content Manager submits the content of the existing documents (being checked-in
Content Manager) to IBM Business Automation Content Analyzer for processing. Then, Content Manager
uses the results to perform the following actions on the original document:
- Change the class of the document to the class determined by Content Analyzer.
- Set the document title to the page title value determined by Content Analyzer.
- Set document property values based on the key or value pairs that are determined by Content Analyzer.
Processing overview
Fig
- The checked in Content Manager documents (1 in fig) can be submitted to Content Analyzer by
either:
- A sweep job (2 in fig).
- Document check-in event subscription (2 in fig).
- The documents are submitted to Content Analyzer through a Content Manager request queue (3 in
fig).
- The request queue (4 in fig) submits [only] the first content transfer element of the document to Content Analyzer for processing.
- The request queue then defers the request (puts it back in the queue) to give Content Analyzer time to analyze the content (4 and 5 in fig).
- The request queue periodically checks the request to see whether Content Analyzer has completed processing.
- Content Analyzer analyzes the content based on the ontology that is defined on the Content Analyzer side, producing JSON output that contains analytical details about the content (6 in fig).
- When Content Analyzer processing is completed, the JSON created by Content Analyzer is obtained (8 in fig). The updates are made to the document (9 in fig) based on a class and property mapping, which is stored on the Content Manager side.
- After the document updates have been made, the Content Analyzer content (for example, the "analyzer doc") is deleted.
