Managing Agents

You can use the shared service for IBM® Rational® Test Virtualization Server to stop and start Agents for IBM Rational Integration Tester and IBM Rational Performance Tester.

Before you begin

Log on to the IBM Workload Deployer home page or the IBM PureApplication™ System Workload Console page.

Stopping the Agent for Rational Integration Tester

Procedure

  1. Click Instances > Shared Services.
  2. Click IBM Shared Service for Rational Test Virtualization Server 1.0.1.0 in the list. You can use a filter to constrain your search. The Shared Service details are displayed in the editor pane.
  3. Click Manage. The Main Console page is displayed, showing a list of virtual machines.
  4. Click the Operations tab.
  5. Click the RITA role.
  6. Click the plus sign (+) in front of Stop RITA and then click Submit. The result is displayed in the Operation Execution Results pane.
  7. When you are finished, click the Main Console tab to return.

Starting the Agent for Rational Integration Tester

Procedure

  1. Click Instances > Shared Services.
  2. Click IBM Shared Service for Rational Test Virtualization Server 1.0.1.0 in the list. You can use a filter to constrain your search. The Shared Service details are displayed in the editor pane.
  3. Click Manage. The Main Console page is displayed, showing a list of virtual machines.
  4. Click the Operations tab.
  5. Click the RITA role.
  6. Click the plus sign (+) in front of Start RITA and then click Submit. The result is displayed in the Operation Execution Results pane.
  7. When you are finished, click the Main Console tab to return.
