Accessing Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management using a VNC client

Use a VNC viewer to access nodes in CLM in the cloud.

Before you begin

Procedure

  1. Look up the host name for the desired node in your deployed instance. See Viewing instance information after deploying the CLM pattern.
  2. Open your VNC client. VNC Viewer is used in this procedure.
  3. Enter hostname:2 for the virtuser user, then click Connect.
  4. When prompted, enter the VNC password for virtuser, then click OK. The VNC password was set when the pattern was deployed.

Access with SSH tunneling

Before you begin

  • The instance must be deployed with parameter VNC uses SSH Tunneling set to True.
  • You need a client tool for VNC to connect to the deployed instance. Install it on your local system.
  • You must have a running SSH tunneling session for virtuser. See Setting up and running an SSH tunneling session.
