Using the extension

In the GitLab merge request description, use the work item selection picker to insert a work item number into the merge request description.

1. In the GitLab Merge request, edit the description.
   Note:

   You can insert a work item by using the picker when creating a merge request.

2. Click Insert work item to access the work item selection picker.
3. Search for a work item, select it, and then click OK.
   The work item ID is added to the description.
