Use the New Deployment Definition wizard
to define a deployment definition.
Before you begin
To use the deployments component, you must have a Developer
for IBM® Enterprise Platforms
client access license (CAL). Also, you must create a package by following
the steps in the Creating a package definition task.
Finally, you must have the following permissions:
- Build
- Save Build Engine, Save Build Definition, Request Build, Save
Build Result.
- Deployment
- Request Deployment.
A project administrator can modify these permissions
by right-clicking your project area, clicking Open,
and then expanding the Team Configuration node
from the Process Configuration tab in the Project
Area editor.Note: For Rational Team Concert version
4 or version 5, the IBM i and z/OS® scripts are consolidated,
so the directory structure changed. If you upgrade from V3.0.1.x to
V4.0 or later but continue to use the V3.0.1.x package and deployment
definitions, the old scripts are used. If you create new package and
deployment definitions, the new scripts are used. If you customized
the scripts for version 3.0.1.x, make the same changes to the new
V4.0 or later scripts. For more information, see
https://jazz.net/library/article/876.
