Creating a zFolder

A zComponent Project is a collection of z/OS® data sets. zFolders represent the data sets in your project.

About this task

Perform the following steps to create a zFolder.

Procedure

  1. Expand your project in the Project Explorer view.
  2. Select the zOSsrc folder, right-click it to show the pop-up menu, then click New > Other > zFolder.
  3. Specify a name for the zFolder.
  4. Select a data set definition to associate with the zFolder.
    When the Ant with Enterprise Extensions or dependency builds process this zFolder, the values you specify in this data set definition are used to allocate the corresponding z/OS data set.
  5. Click Finish.
