    Note:
    • When you select No style, it indicates that the data in the view is not affected by any of the styles.
    • When you change the style from No style to other style in the Style name list and save a view, the No style option gets disabled.
    • When you select the Base style, the view gets loaded with the default node definitions.

The view formatting when Base style is selected:

      default_style

The warning message when the Base style is selected and view is not saved:

The view is rendered with the default node definitions, as the Base style is selected. Unsaved changes to the existing node definitions including associated actions cannot be retained. Do you want to continue?

The warning message when the Base style is selected and view is saved:

The view is rendered with the default node definitions, as the Base style is selected. Actions associated with existing node definitions cannot be retained. Do you want to continue?

    • When you select a style other than the Base style, the view formatting gets updated based on the selected style.

The view formatting when a style other than the Base style is selected:

      selected_style_view

The warning message when a style other than the Base style is selected:

The view is rendered using the selected style. Unsaved changes to the existing node definition cannot be retained.
The following node definitions and view properties from the selected style are added or updated in the view:
      System artifact node definitions:
      <<list of nodes>>

      Custom artifact node definition:
      <<list of nodes>>

      View Properties:
      <<list of view properties>>

      Do you want to continue?
Important: When you create a view by using an existing style and the style is updated later, the following confirmation message is shown when you open the view in the View and Edit mode:

Style used in the view has been modified. Do you want to continue with the latest style changes?

    Click Ok to continue.

Click Cancel to retain earlier style changes.

For example, you created View 1 by using Style 1 and one of the team members update the Style 1 later. The preceding message is displayed when you open the View 1 after style updates.
To reduce the number of clicks and check whether the selected style is updated, the Style update check checkbox is added in the View properties section of the Properties pane. It checks for modifications that are done to the selected style and provide an opportunity to update the view with the latest style changes.

When you create a view, the Style update check checkbox is selected by default.
    • When you open a view and if the Style update check checkbox is selected, the selected style is checked for the updates. Thus, the confirmation message is displayed only if the style is updated. You can continue with applying the updated style changes by clicking Ok. Otherwise, click Cancel to load the view without applying the latest style changes.
    • When you open a view and if the Style update check checkbox is not selected, the selected style is not checked for the updates. Thus, the view is loaded without showing the confirmation message irrespective of the style updates. Hence, the view is loaded without applying the latest style changes.
