Showing percentage of artifacts

Earlier IBM® Engineering Lifecycle Optimization - Engineering Insights ENI users can see total count of nodes in the container. Now, ENI enables view consumer to view the percentage of artifacts, and also to define conditions based on which, ENI displays percentage of artifacts in the container. This task explains how a view consumer can see percentage of artifacts and visualize complex data in a view.

For System Artifact Elements

Procedure

  1. Open the view in edit mode.
  2. Right-click the container, and click Show percent.

  3. In the Select condition window, click Add condition to define conditions based on which, you want to view the percentage.

  4. From the Choose an attribute: section, select the required attribute, and then scroll down.

  5. From the Choose values section, select or specify the required value against the attribute that you selected, and then click Add and Close.

  6. Click Ok.

Results

Based on the conditions that you defined, the container displays the percentage of artifacts that satisfy the conditions. When you hover over the container, you can view the defined conditions.

The percentage of artifacts that satisfy the condition is displayed.

For Custom Artifact Elements

Procedure

  1. Drag the custom artifact element onto the view canvas.
  2. Right-click the container, and click Show percent.
  3. In the Set conditions for '{{artifact}}' window, select or specify condition based on which, you want to show the percentage, and then click Ok.

    Note: The conditions that you select or specify to show the percentage vary according to the custom artifact elements.

Results

Based on the conditions that you defined, the container displays the percentage of artifacts that satisfy the conditions. When you hover over the container, you can view the defined conditions.
When you hover over the container, the defined condition is displayed.

To restore the artifacts in a container, right-click the container, and click Show artifacts.

Important:
  • When the containers are linked and percentage of artifacts is displayed for source container, the target container shows container name with no artifacts.
  • You can fill the node with required color and highlight the percentage by using the Edit node option. For more information, see UI types in ENI.
