Using the Replication Center on z/OS
The Replication Center is a graphical user interface for configuring and administering replication and event publishing. This tool is provided with InfoSphere® Data Replication for Db2 for z/OS®, and to use it you might need to perform one or more configuration steps.
The Replication Center is included with these products:
- Db2 Connect, which is included with InfoSphere Data Replication for Db2 for z/OS.
- IBM® Data Server Client, which you can download free from https://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/iwm/web/reg/pick.do?source=swg-idsc97. You must separately install the license file to connect remotely to Db2® for z/OS.
To enable the Replication Center to access source and target databases on Db2 for z/OS, you must define the DB2-supplied stored procedure SYSPROC.DSNWZP. The Replication Center calls SYSPROC.DSNWZP to retrieve Db2 subsystem parameter information. To define the stored procedure, run one of the following Db2 for z/OS installation jobs, depending on your version:
- V9.1 or earlier
- Run the DSNTIJSG job.
- V10 or V11
- Run the DSNTIJRT job.
Note for Db2 Version 10: If you are
migrating to Db2 10 for z/OS, take these actions:
- Drop and recreate the stored procedure SYSPROC.DSNWZP
- Delete the DSNACCMD entry from the SYSIBM.SYSROUTINES catalog table.
