Deleting an instance of the CDC Replication Engine for PostgreSQL (Windows)

You can delete an instance of CDC Replication.

About this task

Remove all subscriptions before you remove the CDC Replication Engine for PostgreSQL instance. It the subscriptions are not removed, you must drop all associated replication slots manually in the PostgreSQL database. A warning message is displayed during instance deletion.

Procedure

  1. At the command prompt, launch the configuration tool by issuing the following command in the specified directory: 
    \<CDC Replication installation directory>\bin\dmconfigurets.exe
  2. In the Instances area, select the instance that you want to delete and click Stop if the instance is started.
  3. In the Instances area, select an instance and click Delete.
  4. Click Yes to permanently delete the instance.
