Database transaction log commands

Use these commands to help you manage your database transaction log or bookmarks.

dmsetbookmark - Set bookmark
Use this command on your CDC Replication source system to set the replication position (bookmark) in the stream of change data for a subscription.
dmremoveclosedtxn - Remove closed transaction
If CDC misses the commit or abort of a transaction, the transaction can remain in the log parser transaction queues and hold back the restart position for all bookmarks that are created by that parser. Any subscription that uses that parser finds the restart position for its bookmarks is older than it needs to be. If enough time passes after the transaction is closed, you can remove the log files that covers the operations in that transaction.
dmsetrestartposition - Update the restart position of a subscription bookmark
The dmsetrestartposition utility provides a way to directly update the restart position of a subscription bookmark so that it is no longer pointing at the log position of the first operation of a transaction that CDC thinks is still open but is not open.
dmshowlogdependency - Show Log Dependency
Use this command to display information about database binary logs that are required for replication.
