Installing the CDC Replication Engine for Microsoft SQL Server

Once you have reviewed and met the preinstallation requirements you are ready to install the CDC Replication software on your server.

Before you attempt to install or upgrade CDC Replication, consult the database, operating system and hardware requirements for the specific version of the software that you want to install to ensure that it is compatible with your system.

Source deployments of CDC Replication must be installed on the same server as your database. With target deployments of CDC Replication, you have the option of installing the product on a different server from your target database.

Note: Ensure that the installed version of the Management Console and Access Server applications are either the same version as the replication engine or a later version.
