System requirements for the CDC Replication Engine for Db2® Database

Before you install CDC Replication, ensure that the system you choose meets the necessary operating system, hardware, software, communications, disk, and memory requirements.

Note: For remote configurations, you must install a Db2 client that is compatible with the remote database version on the CDC Replication server before configuring an instance for CDC Replication. Also, you must catalog the remote database from the CDC Replication server:

If you plan to use a Fastload or JDBC Type 2 connection for refresh on the target.
For source capture where CDC Replication reads logs from a remote database.
