Reporting Services can be
installed on the server where you installed the Network Manager GUI components or standalone
on a different server.
If you use Network Manager on Linux on IBM z Systems, Reporting Services is not supported. Use Cognos Business Intelligence Server for reporting. For more
information about Cognos Business Intelligence Server,
search for Cognos Business Intelligence Server in the IBM Order Management Software Knowledge Center at https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SS6PEW.
Before you install Reporting Services
and the Network Manager-specific
reports, you must install Jazz for Service Management.
Ensure that you have at least 17GB of free
space
in the location where you want to install Reporting Services.
Reporting Services is a component
of Jazz for Service Management.
Before you install any components of Jazz for Service Management, you must run IBM Prerequisite Scanner and check for the
prerequisites of all Jazz for Service Management components that you want
to install. For more information, see Checking system prerequisites.
Reporting Services requires a Db2® database to store its data. This database must be running during installation. If the database is installed on the same server as Reporting Services, the installer configures
the database during installation. If the database is on a different server, you must configure the
database before you install Reporting Services. Refer to the instructions
in Setting up a remote Db2 database for Reporting Services.
If these instructions differ from the documentation for your version of Jazz for Service Management components, including
Reporting Services, due to updates or
changes, the Jazz for Service Management
documentation takes precedence, and can be found at the following location: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSEKCU
