Installing Content Manager OnDemand

Install Content Manager OnDemand according to the Content Manager OnDemand product documentation.

The Content Manager OnDemand server package contains the connector between Content Manager OnDemand and Collector Server.
Note: Content Manager OnDemand for z/OS and IBM i are supported only as remote servers.

Procedure

In addition, complete these steps:

  1. Install the server package of Content Manager OnDemand on the system where Collector Server is to be installed.
  2. Continue with the steps for your operating system:
    • LinuxUNIX
      • Install the IBM® Global Secure ToolKit (GSKit) that is shipped with Content Manager OnDemand on the system where the base package is to be installed. For more information, see the IBM Content Manager OnDemand readme file.
      • Set the following environment variables:
        • Set the ARS_ARSCMNSTR_INSTALL_DIR environment variable as follows:
          export ARS_ARSCMNSTR_INSTALL_DIR=InstallHome_OD/bin/exits

          InstallHome_OD stands for the installation directory of Content Manager OnDemand.

        • Set the ARS_INSTALL_SERVER_Vx_DIR environment variable to the installation directory of Content Manager OnDemand.

          x stands for the exact version of Content Manager OnDemand.

          For example, if you installed Content Manager OnDemand V9.5, the environment variable is ARS_INSTALL_SERVER_V95_DIR.

          If you installed Content Manager OnDemand V10.1, the environment variable is ARS_INSTALL_SERVER_V101_DIR.

    • Windows
      • Set the following environment variables:
        • Set the PATH environment variable to the fully qualified path to the bin directory of your Content Manager OnDemand installation.
        • Set the ARS_ARSCMNSTR_INSTALL_DIR environment variable as follows:
          set ARS_ARSCMNSTR_INSTALL_DIR=InstallHome_OD\bin

          InstallHome_OD stands for the installation directory of Content Manager OnDemand.

        • Set the ARS_INSTALL_SERVER_Vx_DIR environment variable to the installation directory of Content Manager OnDemand.

          x stands for the exact version of Content Manager OnDemand.

          For example, if you installed Content Manager OnDemand V9.5, the environment variable is ARS_INSTALL_SERVER_V95_DIR.

          If you installed Content Manager OnDemand V10.1, the environment variable is ARS_INSTALL_SERVER_V101_DIR.
