Installing and configuring Tivoli Storage Manager
You can use the Tivoli Storage Manager Content Manager Enterprise Edition resource managers on AIX®, Linux® and Windows™ to store objects on devices that are supported by Tivoli Storage Manager, such as optical libraries and tape media. The use of Tivoli Storage Manager is optional and is needed only if you want to provide long-term storage for your objects on devices other than the fixed disks that are attached to the resource manager.
