Assign user ID rights and privileges for Windows™

You must ensure that the library server and resource manager administration IDs have the correct rights so that users have the correct privileges to perform relevant tasks.

About this task

The administration user IDs (icmadmin and rmadmin) must have the following user rights:
  • Act as part of the operating system
  • Create a token object
  • Replace a process level token
  • Important for Brazilian Portuguese users only: Create an administrative group called 10, and then add icmadmin to it.
The steps required for assigning these rights are:

Procedure

  1. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
  2. Select Administrative Tools.
  3. Select Local Security Policy.
  4. In the tree, select Local Policies > User Rights Assignment.
  5. Double-click the rights that you want to assign (for example: Act As Part of the Operating System).
  6. Click Add.
  7. Select a user account from the list.
  8. Click OK.
  9. The modified user must log off and log on again for the changes to take effect.
