With IBM Watson Care Manager Community Service Payment, care team members can set a weekly personal budget for a client's provider services and authorize payments for the services.

If your organization licenses the IBM Watson Care Manager Community Service Payment add-on component, you can create a weekly personal budget for your client's services. The budget is the amount required to pay for services to address the client's needs. The budget amount is contributed from one or more budget contributors, for example, the care organization, a charity, or the client. Budget contributors for your organization are configurable by the administrator.

If your organization is licensed to use IBM Watson Care Manager Connect Individuals and has signed up to receive contributions through PayPal, budget contributions from clients who have signed up to make payments in the Connect application can be automatically processed through PayPal.

So that you can track the budget and understand the total costs of services against the allocated budget, the costs of services on the plan are associated with the budget. If the client's circumstances change, you can add a new budget and replan the client's services and providers. When the budget is approved, you can authorize payments to the providers for the services. When you authorize payments, the provider is paid automatically by Watson Care Manager weekly in arrears for their services through PayPal. To receive the automated payments, the service provider must be a Connect user and have completed their payments sign up in the application. If the client is required to contribute to the cost of their own services, then the client contribution is automatically processed in arrears before the service payment is made.
