Security
IBM® provides many security measures to ensure that your data is safe. The main types of security are: Physical facilities, Firewalls, Password and ID protection, Data validation, and Encryption and secure transport.
- Physical facilities
- The physical facility providing network services and all pertinent hardware is fully protected by extensive security measures designed to limit access to authorized personnel and to shield resources in the event of fire or other emergencies.
- Firewalls
- Electronic access to network and company systems is protected by an extensive deployment of firewalls that shield traffic from unauthorized transmissions.
- Password and ID protection
- Access to network services is protected by a password and mailbox ID. Customers should exercise caution with their passwords. However, simply having a password does not enable access to the system. Mailbox IDs work with passwords and designate both sending and receiving mailboxes. Moreover, customers might have several mailboxes, each with different protocol and security requirements.
- Data validation
- In addition to password and ID protection, customers can define security based on the type of EDI documents being exchanged. B2B Integration SaaS will accept only documents that customers have authorized beforehand.
- Encryption and secure transport
- B2B Integration SaaS offers several types of encryption and secure transport services.
