Monitoring agent for Maximo Manage
Maximo® Manage includes a monitoring agent that collects statistics about application usage and performance. Administrators can configure Prometheus service monitoring and then use visualization software, such as Grafana, to view usage information that the agent collects.
The Maximo Manage monitoring agent provides a set of REST APIs that enable HTTP-based clients to access information that is related to the current state of a deployment. Administrators can configure Prometheus to use the data that is available in Maximo Manage.
- The
Maximo Manage monitoring agent uses the following ports:
- Port 9444
- Port 9444 is used for HTTPS.
- Port 9081
- Port 9081 is used for HTTP.
- Enable user-defined projects for Prometheus after a Red Hat® OpenShift® instance is created. You can complete the configuration either before or after Maximo Manage is deployed.
- After Maximo Manage is deployed, you must configure PodMonitor or Service Monitor.
The open source Prometheus service monitoring and alerting toolkit is available with Red Hat OpenShift version 4.3 and later.
