Option-set groups
Some types of option-set
COs can be formed into named groups:
- File-receive option-set groups
- During a FileReceived scenario, the contents of HeaderInfo, TransferInfo, and FileInfo fields in the corresponding FileAct primitive determine which of the file-receive option-set COs in the group is used. For more information, see File-receive option-set groups.
- SAG MP option-set groups
- SAG MP option-set groups
can be used to address the following situations:
- For traffic distribution when receiving a message or file, or processing a download request
- During a real-time MsgReceived, FileReceived, or RespondDownload scenario, or when receiving a delivery notification for a real-time SendFile scenario, an SAG MP option-set group enables the SNL ID and MP specified in the inbound SAG message to determine which SAG MP option set is used. For more information, see Traffic distribution.
- For failover when sending messages or files (SAG switching)
- During a SendMsg or SendFile scenario, an SAG MP option-set group provides a way for the MSIF transfer service to switch to a new SAG if the one that was tried first is not running. For more information, see Switching SAG MP option-set COs.
- To enable an input channel to switch to a new SAG MP option set in case of errors
- Specify an SAG MP option sets group for an input channel to enable that channel to use several SAG MP option sets and to automatically switch in case of errors.
You create an option-set group by specifying the same name for the Group parameter of several option-set COs of the same type. The specified name becomes the name of the group.
If more than one option-set CO in a group meets the selection criteria,
the one with the name that is first when sorted alphanumerically is
used. The alphanumeric order of the names is also used to establish
the order in which SAG MP option sets are used. The character order
for sorting, from first to last, is 0 - 9, then A - Z, then a - z.
For example, the following names are sorted alphanumerically:
3ZAT
CT44
bXd75
bcd75
