SWIFTNet FIN messages stored in the message warehouse

Each FIN message transferred by FTM SWIFT is contained in the body of an FTM SWIFT message. You can configure FTM SWIFT so that information about each FIN message that is transferred using the SIPN FIN service (for example, its external message ID, application name, message type, and whether it is a possible duplicate emission) is to be recorded in the message warehouse when the message is processed by either of the following components:
  • The interface layer
  • The SFD
You can configure whether message warehouse entries are to be made for either or both of the following types of messages:
  • FIN messages that are to be sent
  • FIN messages (other than acknowledgments) that were received
In addition, you can specify whether one of the following are also to be stored, as a character large object (CLOB), in the message warehouse:
  • The entire FIN message (that is, the body of the FTM SWIFT message)
  • The entire FTM SWIFT message (that is, the body of the FTM SWIFT message, plus all header information)

The user-defined function (UDF) DNFMWHFINMSG can be used to display, in a readable character format, FIN messages stored in the message warehouse hex format. For example, it displays the message contents X'C0C6F0F1' as {F01.
