Backing up and restoring SAG configuration data
Use the backup command to back up the SAG configuration
data that is stored in an SAG database.
Note: This command does not
back up the SAG-configuration data stored in the
FTM SWIFT database.
This command generates the files mybackup.dmp and mybackup.log in the installation directory of the SWIFTAlliance Gateway.
You can issue the backup command in either synchronous or asynchronous mode. For more information about this command, see backup.
Use the SAG command-line tool to restore the backed up SAG configuration data to the SAG workstation. This must be done locally. To avoid a situation in which, after restoring configuration data, the SAG Add-On is unable to retrieve and transmit a large number of SAG events to FTM SWIFT, restore the backup by carrying out the following steps:
- Stop the SAG.
- Stop the SAG Add-On.
- Restore the SAG configuration data as described in SWIFT Alliance Gateway: Administration and Operations Guide.
- Empty the FTM SWIFT local queue SNCCLOGKEYS.
- Restart the SAG Add-On.
- Restart the SAG.
