During analysis, a wide range of customizations are made to the Business Object Model (BOM) that affect model class definitions. These customizations represent the detailed business requirements of the project and the organization in general, and must now be propagated to IDM. These customizations include:

Changes to the model:

- Unified Modeling Language (UML) associations
Analysis of the boundary of type expressed as common class diagrams

Interpreting boundary of type
The BOT Class Diagrams in BOM capture requirements surrounding the logical boundaries of key types within the model. This analysis is used to drive the definition of aggregated relationships and type interface operations within the design model.
Migrating type customizations
The analysis within the Business Object Model (BOM) includes customizations to the class models. These changes must be propagated to the Interface Design Model (IDM) influencing the design of the data types associated with the service architecture. New types added to BOM must be reviewed before they are added to IDM.
