Introducing the Business console

You use the Business console to author, edit, organize, and search for rules in a collaborative environment.

In the Business console you access decision services or individual rule projects, which contain all the elements necessary to author and manage business rules. These elements are contained in a rule repository, which is a database connected to Decision Center.

The business rules that you author or edit are not immediately reflected back to the rule-based computer applications on which they act. These rules must be deployed to a location that handles the execution of the rules and the interaction with the rule-based applications. Deployment is done in the Enterprise console.
