Tutorials

These tutorials are based on assets that are included with example projects that are available for download, and they provide brief, targeted introductions to specific modeling methods and techniques.

You can build the example flows provided by following the steps in the tutorials.

Some of the simple flows are already completed in the projects, but you can still walk through them using their accompanying tutorials. Some of the more complicated flows must be completed by following the steps in the tutorials.

Important: Before you begin the tutorials, complete the following steps to download and import the example projects.

Download and import the example projects

  1. Go to Example-Project-CPD.zip and click Download. The .zip file downloads to your local machine.
  2. Go to Example-Project-with-Text-Analytics-CPD.zip and click Download. The .zip file downloads to your local machine.
  3. Open Cloud Pak for Data and go to All Projects.
  4. Click New project, select Analytics project, and click Next.
  5. Select Create a project from file. Browse to the Example-Project-CPD.zip file that you downloaded. Name the project Example Project and click Create.
  6. Repeat step 5 for Example-Project-with-Text-Analytics-CPD.zip, but name it Example Project with Text Analytics.
