Connecting applications to the Db2 Warehouse database server

To connect your applications via JDBC/ODBC to the Db2 Warehouse database server, you must install IBM® Data Server driver packages.

About this task

If you want to just run Db2® CLP scripts, you can use the db2u.tools container instead, since it's already bundled with the full Db2 Data Server Client.

Procedure

Download the driver packages from the Download Fix Packs by version for IBM Data Server Client Packages web page. Choose a download link from the Version 11.5 column.
After you download the required package, choose one of the following methods to install those drivers. The method that you choose depends on the database connectivity method that is used by the client application.
